

Giacomo Zanus
Giacomo Zanus is an Italian guitarist, composer, and improviser based in Bologna.
His music blends jazz, folk, post-rock, minimalism, and electroacoustic elements.
He released Inside a Frame (solo guitar/live electronics, 2022) and KORA (quartet, 2021); a follow-up is planned for 2026.
In 2021, he was ranked among the top five emerging Italian talents by Musica Jazz.
He later joined ONJGT, the Italian National Jazz Youth Orchestra.
Zanus co-leads the trio AWEN with Stefano Battaglia and Natalia Rogantini.
He’s also a member of Alexander Hawkins’s Dialect 5t, an international quintet.
His work explores the fusion of composition and improvisation, expanding guitar language.
Beyond music, he’s passionate about photography, poetry, and literature.
His artistic goal is to transcend stylistic, cultural, and social boundaries through sound.
